Hey lovelies,

Matthew 6:33 is a verse in the bible that I along with many other Christians are very familiar with but as of last week, I received a new revelation from God and yes, you guessed right, I am pretty excited  to share it with you all!

I'm a part of my local church choir in Manchester. On the third Monday of every month, the choir department usually holds a 'Praise and Worship' leadership training.

Last weekend, being the 3rd Monday of this month, we had another Praise and Worship leadership training with the choir. It was absolutely fantastic!

My choir leader used the above mentioned bible verse and as he explained it, it was as if a light bulb lit up in my head/heart!

A new revelation from God!

That Bible Verse in summary talks about putting God first IN EVERY ASPECT OF OUR LIVES (education, finance, emotions etc etc).

What majority of us forget is that God is a rewarder!

As we prioritize him, he also prioritizes us!

With God, as you put him first, he will most definitely sort everything else that concerns you (this includes your health, emotions and finance ...... oh the list goes on!)

Pretty awesome right?

I don't know about you guys but I would rather receive a reward from God than from anyone else.

So I ENCOURAGE YOU today to dedicate your life to serving God.

Love you guys!

Details of my church (everyone's welcome) - HERE!

Till next time.

Hi Guys,

Lately, I have been playing around with images and bible verses. I was reading Psalm 23 today and I decided to put a little something together for you.

ENJOY.

1. The Lord is my shepherd; I have everything I need.

2. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams.

3. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name.

4. Even when I walk through the dark valley of death, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.

5. You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You welcome me as a guest, anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings.

6. Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.

Please do not forget to share your thoughts with me!

Till next time.

"13.Moses answered the people, Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. 14.The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still" - Exodus 14:13-14 NIV

Hi guys,

So recently, I was hit with some unexpected news and I slowly felt myself going into a phase of doubt. I struggled praying and so at times I would type out letters to God or simply just watch a sermon.

I don't know why, but I just have a thing for sermons.

You know that feeling when you just find something that works so well for you? Yes! That's how I feel every time I watch a sermon lol...

This particular sermon means a lot to me. Simply because I actually went searching for some sort of encouragement and God led me to this sermon!

One thing I am learning in life is that self-pity gets you no where.

Self-pity is actually a time-waster.

Imagine the amount of time people spend feeling sorry for themselves? That same time, could be used to do something more productive!

Its the idea of "it is not what happens that matters but rather what you do about it". So rather than self-pity, be determined to always pick yourself back up and keep pushing for greatness!

So for me, rather that dwelling in fear and doubt, I decided to get myself together and look for a way out.

This sermon has already been watched twice lol!!

I really hope this encourages someone today.

HERE GOES..

Priscilla Shirer uses the amazing story of the 'Israelites and the Red Sea' in Exodus 14:13-14,to illustrate the challenges we all face in life.

For the Israelites, the Red Sea became a challenge for them. It became a threat to their progress.

Like the Israelites, we all go through different challenges but God is always there to encourage us all. In this particular event, God used Moses to encourage his people

Oh they must have complained as human beings but Moses (their leader) remained persistent in his encouragement.

He told them to be:

  1. Be Fearless - fear cripples you from progress and so learn to exchange fear for an opportunity to pray. If prayer is not your thing then find something else! (watch a sermon, praise, read a book.. BE ACTIVE)
  2. Be Still / Stand Firm - do not be moved by the circumstance but rather plant your feet firmly on the promises of God. One thing I realised with my brief moment of doubt was that fear is actually insulting to God. How can I say I trust God and still be moved by problems around me? That is me saying, I trust God but not enough for him to sort all my problems. Real trust drives out all fear! It actually brings about the opposite -confidence.
  3. Be Watchful - be watchful and thankful for the little things God has already has started doing in your life.
  4. Be Quiet - learn to guard your mouth from complaining. Discipline your mouth to speak nothing but the word of God into your life.
So yes, let us learn to trust God. He has actually promised to fight for us and so that should bring about a new sense of confidence!

GOD'S GOT YOU!

Check out the sermon HERE!

Till next time.

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service." Romans 12:1 (NKJV)

Hi everyone! It has been way too long and I sincerely apologize for that. I am at the stage where I have become a bit to obsessed with balancing out my posts. So its where I do not want to overdue things with either having way too many write ups or pictures at the same time.

Do you see where i'm coming from? (hopefully you do!)

I have so many new outfit ideas to share with you all but unfortunately, they won't be out till July!

My little sister, is my photographer (you would never guess who trained her?) and she currently has an overload of exams coming up and so it would be really selfish of me to take her attention away from something so important.

Be assured that if I am able to find someone to replace her, then the pictures will surely come flooding in!

BUT TILL THEN, HERE IS ANOTHER WRITE UP FOR YOU...

ENJOY!

I stumbled across this scripture the other day whilst reading a book titled 'God is a matchmaker - Derek Prince'. I know it seems like I may have some obsession with relationships and so I am eagerly preparing for them but I promise you that is not the case!

I do not actually go looking for the books! In fact, I would say it is the other way round.

Romans 12:1 is one of those scriptures that many Christians grew up with. We all memorized it but never really understood (well in great depth).

I found a very interesting explanation of it in Derek's book and so I thought I would share it with you guys.

Whilst explaining, Derek Prince gives us a bit of background history. He briefly explains the use of an altar in the Old Testament. They are raised structures that people used to put sacrifices on. Altars were also used as a place of worship.

When it came to Gods forgiveness, there had to be a shedding of blood and so the sacrifice (usually the innocent victim)would take on the punishment and judgement of the person who was offering the sacrifice. When that happens, the guilty person/sinner would then receive forgiveness and atonement from God. Before a sacrifice was placed on the altar, it was first slain and then the dead animal was put on the altar. This can be compared to what Jesus did for us on the cross. He became the ultimate sacrifice for all our sins/wrongdoings. His own blood was shed for us and by believing that we receive forgiveness from GOD.

During the old testament, making sacrifices was very frequent as it people kept sinning but when Christ died for us, that sacrifice was once and for all.

God is now calling us to be living sacrifices. So living because Christ has already paid the price and so we no longer have to present a dead sacrifice on the altar before God.

With this scripture, God is calling us to put our bodies on his altar. He wants our bodies to take the role of the animals but rather than a dead sacrifice, we are called to be living sacrifices!

He is calling us to a place of unreserved surrender. Where we no longer claim control or ownership over our bodies and let God take the lead.

AMAZING RIGHT????

I know this post is quite a long read but I have learnt so so much from it. I really do hope you all learn a few things from post.

Please feel free to ask questions and also provide additional input.

I do not know it all and so I would love to keep learning.
Till next time.
